I warned you that I took 31 pictures, but so many friends and family visit my blog and I wanted to share with you all. So thanks for the patience. I am sure there will be more pictures awaiting you on the the girls blogs. I haven't figured out the spacing on this thing yet, but I will.

Yes, here they are...My Boys. These are college grads, can you believe it!! If I ever got a picture that was normal, I wouldn't know what to say. We had hamburgers and fries on graduation day. I had sorta pictured something a bit different, but we had a good time. Please notice the girls, I think they were toasting to "success" but I am not sure. They are a couple of onery ones. It's all about having fun, and they were...."I'll have mine with fries". And of course you know all about the FOUR. They are the best little troopers you could have. It was a long day and they just kept on smiling. They had fun at the graduation, they were hooping and yelling for any grad that didn't have someone yelling for them. The folks in front of us wanted them to yell for their daughter when her name was called, so we all did. I am sure she thought her whole family showed up. What a fun time we had in the very best of circumstances you could ask for. Just in case you didn't know it, I love my family they are the best, I have been blessed beyond belief.

After days and days of the wind blowing we were blessed with clear blue skies, and somewhat gentle breeze. Tim completed his Master's studies, and was Hooded. That sounds strange, but there is a purpose to the ceremony, and I was privileged to be a spectator, along with his brother and the family. A history of the Hooding was provided to us, and I will share some of it with you. Academic dress dates back to the 12Th & 13Th centuries. The ordinary dress of the scholar, whether student or teacher took the form of a cleric. Today, hoods are the most expressive component of the academic costume. They serve to communicate the owner's school, degree and field of study through their length and the colors of the lining and binding. Today's hoods have evolved from a serviceable article of clothing to a type of elongated scarf draped over the shoulders and displayed down the back with the lining turned inside out. Southwestern College master's degree graduates receive their hood because of the level of education they have pursued beyond the baccalaureate degree. The schools colors are purple and white, hence these colors on the hood. The velvet trim on the hood signifies the scholars field. Tim's velvet trim is red, and is significant of "Specialized Ministries". When the hood is placed on them, it is a symbol of passage from student to "master". Tim was second in the long line of graduates today. And for the first time, at a graduation, the alphabet didn't matter....hooray!! It was exciting to hear his name called. We hooped and hollered like we had no sense. I took 31 pictures, these are just four I thought were important to this blog. I will share some of the less serious later. Congratulations Tim, I am so proud of your accomplishments.......now if I can just nag Mark enough so when he gets his, he will walk across that stage too!!! After all, I am the Mother, and no Mother is prouder of her SONS than me, deal with it. One more thing.....the kid wore RED converse tennis shoes. That's my BOY!!
