WHAT a day!!

Landon loves Lego's. He puts them together, takes them apart and puts them back together again. He is very talented with his hands.
Shelbie and Landon came to stay with me yesterday. I picked them up about 1 PM, then we had an errand to do at Target. Shelbie needed a new back pack, well, really a knapsack type. Her backpack would not fit into her locker, so she needed something different. We found a whole wall of all types at Target, but ended up in the purse section and found just what she liked and wanted. While we were shopping around, Gramcracker stubbed her toe and yes as you might have guessed.....broke her little toe. It hurt so bad, and we still had shopping to do. So I hobbled around, trying not to cry, it hurt soooooo bad. Landon told me I was really brave, I said how do you figure that, he replied.."you didn't cry". So, I couldn't cry even if I wanted to, since I had been dubbed a 'brave' grandma. Michelle and the girls came over later after we got back home, and was playing doctor with my toe. We were not very good at it, but I loved that she tried. Val offered to take care of the kids if I had to go to the emergency room, but I spoke to the doctor, and as I already knew, there is nothing you can do for a broken toe, except elevate it and put ice on it. It is swollen and many shades of purple and blue today. However, I can walk better today so I guess I am going to make it. Emi stayed the night too and I loved having them all. They are helpful and so caring and so very sweet. They are gone now, all of them. The house is quiet again but for right now I am glad. I can sit with my foot up and not feel guilty if they need something. In spite of the accident I was happy they were around. VERY GOOD COMPANY!!
